Nach dem Sieg Davids über die Philister, in einer erbitterten Schlacht errungen, wird der von ihm den Israel-Ältesten aufgezwungene Kompromiß Wirklichkeit. David ist neben seiner judäischen Königswürde jetzt auch König der Israeliten.
